Product information "PET rug LACIS"
This carpet is not only particularly beautiful and sustainable because it is made from recycled PET bottles, but also,
because it is the contribution of a very nice cooperation with the MBRC The Ocean Foundation.
The MBRC The Ocean Foundation is a 100% non-profit organization that aims to protect the ocean from plastic waste.
To get rid of the plastic waste, MBRC organizes clean-up events worldwide and operates permanent cleaning stations
along with volunteers and local communities. You can find more about the foundation here!
For every sold carpet, we donate 15% of the proceeds to the MBRC The Ocean Foundation.
This LACIS rug has a graphic weave pattern in blue and white. This recycling product matches
perfectly with the projects of MBRC The Ocean, as it is entirely made of recycled PET bottles.
Our carpets and rugs made of recycled plastic are characterized by a very soft and pleasant feel,
which is reminiscent of wool. They are robust, easy to care for and very durable. The plastic fiber is
dirt and water repellent, this is why the carpet is also suitable for the outdoor area or wherever there is a tendency to spill.
• Material: 100% recycled plastic bottles (PET)
• Size: 70 x 140 cm
• Light and weather resistant
• Perfect for indoor or outdoor use
• Hand woven
• For smooth floors, we recommend using a carpet underlay
• Care: The carpet can be machine washed at a maximum of 30 ° C.
All of our carpets come from a fair production and carry the GoodWeave seal of approval against exploitative child labor and compliance
minimum social and ecological standards. The license fees are used to finance social and educational programs in India and Nepal, among other things.
